George's career began in banking in Nigeria, followed by his role as a Bank Examiner with the Texas Department of Banking in Austin, Texas. He later served as a consultant for both the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (a division of the US Treasury) and the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, DC.
